Hinges are small pieces of glassine with water soluable adhesive on one side and folded with a short side which is to be attached to a stamp and a longer side which is to be attached to an album. Normally hinges are now used to affix used stamps to album pages. Never hinged mint stamps are usually preferred over the hinged variety so it is not recommended to use hinges on mint stamps. Most hinges are pre-folded, but they can be purchased without the fold.
Corner mounts, similar to "photo corners" used to hold photographs, are mainly used to mount covers, photographs, postcards, philatelic cards or anything ridgid enough to be held by the corners. Corner mounts are not usually used to mount large stamp products, as sheets are usually not rigid enough.
